Do those back to school mornings get a little hectic at your house?

One of the best ways to prevent hectic mornings is to plan and prepare the night before.
I know you’ve heard about this advice before, but have you implemented it? Here are a few strategies that really pay big benefits!
· If you are a coffee drinker, prep your coffee machine.
· Set out the clothes you plan to wear. This doesn’t mean just the kids, but the adults too. I know a woman who looks at her calendar and the weather forecast on Sunday and makes a plan for the whole week putting her outfits for each day on a hanger including accessories. For the kiddos be sure to include layers if the temperature might change throughout the day
· Get the backpacks and other bags set and ready by the door. Be sure to check the homework and sign the permission slips!
· Streamline breakfast with a little meal prep. Mini Quiches and Power Packed Muffins are great to prep over the weekend and store in the freezer and Overnight Oats are easy to prepare the evening before for a quick and healthy morning treat. Many great recipes are available on line and I will keep adding to this blog site. My all time favorite simple and healthy morning breakfast is a Life Shake. You can simply add 1 cup of your favorite milk and 2 scoops of Life Shake to your favorite mixer cup and enjoy, or you can include a few more ingredients to add variety. Here is one of our absolute favorite recipes:
Strawberry Basil Life Shake
8 oz. cold water or milk of choice
1 cup frozen strawberries (maybe more)
2 scoops Life Shake – Vanilla or Strawberry flavor
2 Tbsp vanilla yogurt
1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
½ tsp chopped fresh basil leaves
Mix in blender – enjoy!

Wishing you the best as you seek to make those mornings magnificent!
