Recently Mark and I moved into our new home in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Since we had owned the home and been in transition for a few months, we had been moving and settling things for quite some time. At Christmas, we were able to host all of our kids, celebrating the holiday amidst lots of unpacked boxes.
In January when Mark officially retired and we made the official move, we continued the process of settling in and putting belongings where they actually belong. Delightfully, we began finding hidden treasures from our kids tucked away in nooks and crannies all over the house. Apparently, when they were here at Christmas they took a collection of little army characters that they had played with in younger years, put numbers on the bottom, and then proceeded to hide them all around our house. They are hidden very well! Each time we find one it makes us laugh, think of our kids and feel loved.
Scavenger hunts were something we did occasionally with our kids when they were growing up and this reversal of roles is absolutely delightful
According to those numbers on the bottom, we still have a lot more to find!!
