Let’s talk about building healthy habits and nurturing routines that will lead to lifelong vitality

🌱 Planting Seeds of Well-being 🌱

Your habits shape your life, but you won’t see the improvement (or decline) in just one day or one week. Every day is an opportunity for growth, vitality, and fulfillment. Let's explore some practical steps you can take to nurture a healthful life with your morning routine.

💪 The Power of your morning routine 💪

What is your morning routine? Do you have one? Does it include stumbling into the kitchen and making some coffee?

Your morning routine helps you set the tone for the day, better allowing you to control your schedule rather than your schedule controlling you.

Here are 5 ideas to upgrade your morning

·         Have warm lemon and ginger water as your first drink of the day.

·         Weather permitting, go outside and take a deep breath. Look up...at the rising sun! (Unless it is 30o below zero – then do it from a window)

·         Sit for 5 minutes for some meditation time. Start by breathing in and out 10 times. Then after a couple of minutes of simple quiet, add in a prayer. I have a collection of prayers on 3x5 cards connected with a O-ring that can guide my prayers when I need a prompt.

·         Use a  journal to record your 4 G’s – Gratitude, Goals, Growth and Grace for the day.  Start by listing 3 things you are grateful for. List 3 goals you are working to accomplish. (I list my biggest business goals day after day – it helps me keep my vision clear and focused)

·         Get some morning movement – perhaps a quick walk, exercises and weights while listening to great music, heading to the gym.

For each of these strategies to become habits, it will be helpful to set yourself up for success.

·         Set out the cup for your warm beverage

·         Gather your meditation and journaling supplies in a basket near the spot you will sit

·         Lay out your exercise clothes the night before

Remember, the habits you cultivate today are the seeds that will blossom into a healthier, happier tomorrow. By nurturing lifelong health practices, you can face the day and coming years with grace and vitality.
