Say Goodbye to Holiday Stress

This time of year, the stresses of life multiply. Baking cookies for the church caroling party, sending in the field trip form so your kids don’t get left behind, getting the oil changed on the car so it is road trip ready, buying and wrapping gifts and more…
So what can you do to help minimize those stresses?
Here are 3 tried and true methods I’ve used for dealing with stress:
Exercise – preferably outside – For me, nothing clears my head or relieves stress like a good walk and talk with a friend or workout to fun music.
Lay off the caffeine and alcohol – I know those might not be popular suggestions, but they really make a big difference in the way your system can address stress and get high quality restorative sleep.
Make a plan and ask for help – sometimes one person becomes responsible for “knowing all the details” but if you share them with others, they are usually glad to help. At our house, the whiteboard on the kitchen counter system where we list the tasks we hope to accomplish in the next day or two is an invaluable tool for good communication and reducing stress. I encourage you to find a system that works for you, and if you'd like to chat about our whiteboard system, please call.
Finally, if you need a little more help – Shaklee’s Cheer Up and Chill Out or Stress Relief Complex are 2 fabulous products to help you find calm in the midst of the season.
